Let's make good trouble together.
On July 17, five years since the nation lost Congressman John Lewis,
we’re calling on you and communities across the country.
Let's make good trouble together.
On Thursday, July 17, we, (Good Trouble Lives On ), invite you to participate
in the “Good Trouble Lives On” John Lewis Day of Action, when communities
across the country will mobilize to honor the life and legacy of the late
Congressman John Lewis and recommit ourselves to carrying on his fight
to protect our voting rights and safeguard our democracy in these challenging times.
We are facing the most brazen rollback of civil rights in generations. The same forces
that used violence against John Lewis and other civil rights leaders who marched
for justice on the Edmund Pettus Bridge are back, with billionaire backers,
extremist leaders, and authoritarian ambition.
If you're outraged by the attacks on our civil rights, the gutting of essential services,
the disappearances of our neighbors, or the assault on free speech and
our right to organize — join us in making good trouble.
There are more than 1,000 community events taking place nationwide.
